When she find a gangbanger’s body outside Fernglen Galleria, mall cop Emma-Joy “EJ” Ferris is saddened but not involved. Events conspire to draw her in, however, when the Director of Security, Captain Woskowicz, EJ’s boss and nemesis, disappears under mysterious circumstances and his three ex-wives come to the mall looking for him. EJ wonders if Captain Woskowicz’s disappearance is connected to the body, and quickly gets swept up into an investigation that includes another death, a missing teen, illegal weapons sales, suspicious behavior from the ex-wives, and Grandpa Atherton masquerading as the Easter Bunny to get a line on the perps.
