Overview

A world-class figure skater, Dara Petersen, hires Swift Investigations to find her pairs partner, Dmitri Fane, who has been missing for over a week. The pair are America’s best hope for a medal in the upcoming Olympics, just weeks away. Charlie Swift and Gigi Goldman pursue Dmitri, hampered by Gigi’s teenage daughter Kendall, who has a mad crush on the missing skater. Then the pair’s coach is brutally attacked and a colleague of Dmitri’s killed.

Between Gigi trying to corral a lovesick Kendall and practicing the techniques she picked up at a surveillance class–with predictably hilarious results–and Charlie fending off Detective Connor Montgomery’s advances and dodging bullets, Swift Edge is one thrilling ride that takes readers behind the scenes and into the fatally competitive world of international figure skating.

Reviews

“A wickedly fun read.” — Laura Benedict, CriminalElement.com

“In DiSilverio’s amusing second mystery… Allgood and CSPD Det. Connor Montgomery provide romantic frissons for Charlie as she juggles the two complex and dangerous cases with aplomb. Readers will look forward to seeing more of Charlie and her two clueless assistants.” –Publishers Weekly.

“DiSilverio has a bit of Sue Grafton’s tone about her, with a dash of Janet Evanovich thrown in, thanks to Charlie’s always unpredictable partner, Gigi. Expect to laugh…with this enjoyable read.” –Library Journal

Testimonials

DIE BUYING has an original heroine, a clever concept and a lively cast of characters. Put this series at the top of your shopping list.

- Elaine Viets, author of PUMPED FOR MURDER

SWIFT JUSTICE has rapidly become my favorite new P.I. puzzler. It’s smart and sassy with tons of humor and a whole lot of heart.

- Chris Grabenstein, Anthony- and Agatha-award winning author

Laura DiSilverio is a tremendous new talent, and her Charlie Swift is a feisty heroine you’ll root for from the very first page. A magnificent series debut.

- Cornelia Read, author of Invisible Boy

SWIFT JUSTICE may appeal to fans of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum and Lula. DiSilverio deftly mixes light, zany humor with the darkness of the crimes.
